Drone Days – the trade fair that isn't a trade fair. Its beginnings date back to ILA 2024 in Berlin. There, in the North German chalet, a group of enthusiastic participants came up with a brilliant idea: why not create an event that combines the fascination with drone technology and the strong North German community?
Originally planned as a North German drone event, it became clear during the initial discussions and planning phase that the need was much greater—the community wanted more, to think more internationally, to network, and to grow together. The organizing team, consisting of b.r.m. IT & Aerospace GmbH, the Senator for Economic Affairs, Ports, and Transformation, Bremen Economic Development, and Aviaspace Bremen, rose to the challenge. With just six weeks' lead time, the idea turned into an impressive event with around 180 participants.
The success of the first Drone Days 2024 spoke for itself: after the premiere, it was immediately clear that the next edition would need more space, more days, and more possibilities! So, a three-day event was developed for 2025 at two very special locations: The Hatten-UAS German Flight Center at Oldenburg-Hatten Airport, with its rustic and familiar flair, offers the perfect conditions for practical demonstrations, while Bremen International Airport opens the door to the world and provides a modern conference atmosphere. A balance that perfectly matches the different facets of Drone Days: suits on Wednesday, jeans on Thursday, and the best entertainment until Friday.
This growth and the diversity of the event are only possible thanks to the strong partnership and cooperation with a large number of energetic players: The state of Lower Saxony, the state of Bremen, the Northwest Metropolitan Region, the Oldenburg District Economic Development Agency, the municipality of Hatten, Bremen Airport, and Oldenburg-Hatten Airfield have all worked together to make Drone Days what it is today—a North German community event with international appeal, created for and by the community.
The program inspires exhibitors, panels, specialist presentations, air shows, symposiums, networking, innovative UAS solutions, and a charming supporting program—an event that is much more than a traditional trade fair. This is where technology meets genuine enthusiasm, personal exchange meets professional contacts, and community meets innovation.
Thank you to everyone who helps shape Drone Days and bring it to life. And above all: thank you to the community!
The idea came to Mr. Harald Rossol during discussions at the ILA 2024 in Challeé, northern Germany.
Just six weeks after the idea was conceived, the first Drone Days took place on August 30, 2024, at Oldenburg-Hatten Airport. Approximately 180 participants gathered here.
The second edition of Drone Days took place from August 27 to 29, 2025. This time, however, it lasted three days, was spread across two locations, and attracted more than 480 participants.
On September 10, 2025, b.r.m. IT & Aerospace GmbH was awarded the title "Motos des Nordens 2025" (Motors of the North 2025). A large part of the award is also due to the organization and innovation of the Drone Days.
The third edition of Drone Days will take place from August 26–28, 2026, at Bremen Airport and Oldenburg-Hatten Airfield.
None of the above would have been possible without our energetic events and organization team.
