Jannis Balke is a project manager at AVIASPACE BREMEN e.V. with many years of experience in networking and strategic development within Bremen’s aerospace sector. His focus is on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), international collaborations, and the development of joint initiatives between industry, research, and the public sector.
In the Advanced Air Mobility working group, he coordinates and facilitates dialogue among stakeholders and supports the development of new projects and business opportunities in the field of future air mobility. Since 2019, Jannis Balke has also been supporting space cooperation between Bremen and Zuid-Holland. He facilitates regular exchanges between the two space hubs and helps establish contacts, joint projects, and international activities.
In addition, he has experience coordinating EU, federal, and state projects; organizing international delegations and professional events; and establishing and managing cross-industry networks.
Co Petersen is an R&D engineer at NLR, where he focuses on the safe integration of drones and other new airspace users into existing airspace. His areas of expertise include the European U-space framework, Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations, drone detection and classification, unmanned operations over the sea, and the integration of drone operations into urban environments.
Before joining NLR, Co worked as a Technical Support Manager in the aircraft leasing industry. He holds a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from Delft University of Technology.
