With Walaris, Drone Days 2026 is gaining an exhibitor dedicated to one of the most pressing issues in unmanned aviation: drone detection and drone defense.
The German-American company, which has a development center in Nuremberg, develops AI-based software for the autonomous optical detection, tracking, and classification of drones. The company’s proprietary AirScout platform processes sensor data in real time directly at the site—without an internet connection—and can detect drones at distances of up to 3,000 meters and classify them at distances of up to 700 meters, day and night.
The technology is already in use: The AirScout software is an integral part of the German Armed Forces’ ASUL drone defense system. In addition, Walaris serves customers in the defense, national security, and critical infrastructure protection sectors worldwide.
