Hünefeld NDT was established in 1995 as a spin-off from the former Dornier aerospace division and, with over 25 years of experience, is a qualified partner for non-destructive testing (NDT). The company’s core expertise lies in the ultrasonic testing of carbon-fiber composites. It also offers X-ray, eddy current, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing. As an inspection service provider certified to DIN EN 4179 and DIN EN 9100, Hünefeld NDT operates primarily in the aerospace, motorsports, and high-end automotive sectors—and inspects, among other things, the carbon-fiber window frames of the Airbus A350.
Non-destructive testing is a key issue for the UAS industry: Since modern drones are largely made of fiber-reinforced composites, reliable testing of these components is an important prerequisite for safety and certification. Hünefeld NDT, an experienced testing specialist, will be represented at Drone Days.
