Skylance was founded in 2025 and has offices in Oldenburg and Hürth, near Cologne. The company develops cost-effective drone defense systems. Its core product is the DroneHammer, a lightweight, laser-guided interceptor designed to defend against small drones at close and medium ranges; it is immune to electronic jamming and can be scaled from a portable single-launcher to a multi-launcher system.
Given the increasing number of incidents involving drones over airports and critical infrastructure, cost-effective drone defense is a highly topical issue. Skylance sees its potential users as including not only the armed forces but also civilian security agencies and operators of critical infrastructure.
