We are pleased to welcome the Maltese Order, with its Sandkrug branch, as an exhibitor at Drone Days 2026.
The Maltese are one of Germany’s major aid organizations and are active in emergency medical services, disaster response, and volunteer assistance. The Sandkrug branch in the municipality of Hatten—located right next to the Oldenburg-Hatten airfield—is becoming increasingly involved in the use of drones for rescue and hazard mitigation.
The use of unmanned systems in emergency medical services and disaster response is one of the most exciting areas of application for drone technology: from rapid situational assessment and the search for missing persons to the transport of medical supplies. The Malteser from Sandkrug will be on site to demonstrate how drones can save lives in an emergency.
