As Hester Somsen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Germany, it is a particular pleasure and honor for me to announce that the Netherlands will be the partner country for Drone Days 2026. Drone Days will take place from August 26–28, 2026, at Bremen Airport and Oldenburg-Hatten Airfield. As Germany’s immediate neighbor, we are linked by close economic cooperation. I would particularly like to highlight the partnership between Bremen and the Zuid-Holland region in the field of aerospace. As neighbors and economic partners, we share a common interest in actively shaping the future of aviation.
The Netherlands is one of the leading hubs for innovation in the fields of drone technology and advanced air mobility —ranging from smart logistics solutions and maritime applications to sustainable mobility concepts and defense. There are significant opportunities for deeper collaboration, particularly in the Northwest European region. Drone Days offers an excellent platform for strengthening this collaboration.
