We are delighted that Dr. Andreas Bovenschulte, Mayor of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen and President of the Senate, will deliver the opening address at this year’s Drone Days 2026 evening event.
Dr. Andreas Bovenschulte has firsthand knowledge of b.r.m. IT & Aerospace’s work: As recently as February 2026, he visited our company and learned on-site about the Bremen UAS Control Center and our activities at the intersection of IT and unmanned aviation. During his visit, he emphasized Bremen’s importance as an innovative aerospace hub.
Dr. Andreas Bovenschulte, who holds a doctorate in law, has been at the helm of the Bremen Senate since August 2019. Before serving as mayor of Bremen, he was, among other roles, mayor of Weyhe and brings many years of experience in local government to the position. Since November 2025, Dr. Andreas Bovenschulte has also served as President of the Bundesrat.
The fact that the mayor of the city where Drone Days is holding its first day of events at Bremen Airport is delivering a personal opening address at the evening event underscores the importance of unmanned aviation for Bremen as a hub for business and innovation.
Drone Days 2026 will take place from August 26 to 28, 2026, at Bremen Airport and Oldenburg-Hatten Airfield. For more information, visit drone-days.de.
