We are pleased to welcome ECOMAT – Center for Eco-efficient Materials and Technologies as an exhibitor at Drone Days 2026.
The ECOMAT Research and Technology Center in Bremen’s Airport City brings together expertise from industry and academia to drive the sustainable transformation of the aerospace industry. Under one roof, partners such as Airbus, Fraunhofer IFAM, the Bremen Fiber Institute, and Bremen University of Applied Sciences are working on key technologies in the fields of cryogenic hydrogen, lightweight construction, manufacturing technology, 3D printing, and virtual testing and certification procedures—in spacious laboratory and research facilities that facilitate technology transfer.
As the hub of aerospace research in Bremen, ECOMAT is also highly relevant to unmanned aviation—many of the materials and manufacturing processes developed here are directly incorporated into the development of more capable UAS.
