For more than 25 years, Michael Wieland has been involved in the development and growth of industries and markets. He brings together diverse interests, establishes shared goals, and helps establish viable applications and markets for new technologies.

Since 2014, his work has focused on unmanned aviation. At the intersection of industry, legislation, government agencies, and technical standards, he is laying the groundwork for the safe and cost-effective use of this technology.

Michael Wieland is the chair of the Advisory Committee of UAV DACH e.V., a member of the European Commission’s Drone Expert Group, and a member of the JARUS Leadership Team; he uses his network to advance the framework conditions for a competitive unmanned aviation sector at the German and European levels.
