Dr. Artem Shulga is the founder and CEO of QDI Systems, an imaging company based in Groningen, the Netherlands, that is advancing quantum dot technology for next-generation imaging. His work focuses on scalable, cost-effective detectors for applications in the X-ray, short-wave infrared (SWIR), and extended SWIR (eSWIR). Artem earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics (Solid-State Electronics) from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, completed the top-ranked master’s program in Nanoscience at the University of Groningen with honors, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Groningen with a dissertation on quantum dots. He founded QDI Systems in 2019 to translate academic breakthroughs into practical, high-performance imaging solutions for every application.
