On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Thomas Röwekamp, Member of the German Bundestag, will address the participants of Drone Days in the Bremenhalle at Bremen Airport.
Thomas Röwekamp has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2021 and chairman of the Defense Committee since 2025. He is also an alternate member of the Committee on Research, Technology, Space, and Technology Assessment. His combination of expertise in defense policy and technology makes him a particularly relevant guest at Drone Days—especially given the growing importance of unmanned systems in both fields.
A native of Bremerhaven, he has deep roots in Bremen: From 2003 to 2007, he served as Senator for the Interior and Sports, and from 2005 to 2007 as Mayor of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. He subsequently led the CDU parliamentary group in the Bremen City Parliament from 2007 to 2021. As an independent attorney and notary, he also brings a wealth of professional experience to the table.
We look forward to his opening remarks on the first day of Drone Days at Bremen Airport!
Drone Days 2026 will take place from August 26 to 28, 2026. You can find all the information here.
