Drones have long since ceased to be merely tools—they can also pose a threat. On Wednesday, August 26, at 1:10 p.m., a panel at Drone Days will address one of the industry’s most pressing issues: the protection of critical infrastructure.
Before we can even talk about defense, the basics are often missing: a comprehensive situational picture. The panel brings together three perspectives: the detection and defense against unauthorized drones, the protection of energy, rail, and water infrastructure, and the resilience of government and economic structures. The central question is: Who actually takes action when a drone hovers over a critical facility?
Dipl.-Ing. Götz Anspach von Broecker (Airbus Defence & Space) will moderate the event.
The panelists are: Thomas Röwekamp, MdB (Member of the German Bundestag and Chair of the Defense Committee), Commander Thomas Szczepanski (Naval Aviation Wing 3 “Graf Zeppelin” Base Group), Dirk Fasse, M.A. in Public Administration (Chief of Police, Bremen), René Picard (Head of Corporate Security, BLG LOGISTICS GROUP AG & Co. KG), and Axel Brockmann, M.A. in Public Administration (State Police Chief of Lower Saxony).
