M&D Flugzeugbau was founded in 1995 by pilots and has grown from a maintenance facility for gliders and small aircraft into a high-performing group of companies. Its core expertise lies in lightweight construction using GRP and CFRP composites—a key technology that also plays a central role in unmanned aviation.
Particularly exciting: As part of the MD Group, the subsidiary MD Aircraft is working on the MDA1, a fully electric aircraft for up to ten passengers in the regional air mobility segment. The mission: to bring carbon-neutral flight to market in a cost-effective manner. Under the motto “Part of the solution, not part of the problem,” MD Aircraft combines traditional aircraft construction with cutting-edge sustainability technology.
