With RadioCtrl, Fjord7 has developed a professional Radio-over-IP (RoIP) solution for the aviation industry that enables true VHF voice radio communication over long distances—both on board drones and at airports. When installed on board a UAS, RadioCtrl allows remote pilots to communicate directly with air traffic control and other airspace users. According to the company, it is the first ATC-approved communication system for BVLOS operations in non-segregated airspace. The hardware is DO-160-qualified and equipped with an approved VHF transceiver.
