BAB is the development bank of the State of Bremen and supports companies and entrepreneurs in all phases of their development—from startup through growth financing to succession planning. On behalf of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen and in a competition-neutral partnership with banks and savings banks, it supplements their offerings with development loans, guarantees, grants, and equity investments. A particular focus is on promoting innovation and technology, including in the maritime economy and the aerospace sectors.
